Artistic Patterns of the Moon: A Study of Selected Models of Abbasid Poetry

Abstract

Research topic: This study aspires to evoke the aesthetic elements of
lunar patterns in the Abbasid poetry corpus within the framework of the
momentum of expressive energies of its image and its manifestations in the
poetic structure. Indeed, there are desired artistic goals and purposes, which
the Abbasid poet was keen to achieve a prestigious position for, and to which
he paid great attention, and this is clearly evident in the development of his
creative discourse through his investment in this natural phenomenon.
Research objectives: The research aims to explore the moon's masks and
implications, in addition to its abundant semantic spaces, through selected
models that carry within them prominent intellectual, cultural and
psychological sediments, which the singers of Abbasid poetry take refuge in
in their purposes and intentions; to reveal the self's vision of the universe and
its fixed laws.
Research methodology: If we intend to define the study with a critical
approach that reveals the ambushes of the poetic text and penetrates its
thresholds, then the descriptive analytical approach has imposed itself on it.
The most important results: The moon's desires have entered the
pillars of the poetic image until it has become a distinctive aesthetic literary
structure in its artistic formation.
Therefore, the study delves into the contents and interpretations of the expressive
significance of the moon, especially what lies behind its shapes and astronomical
phases of brilliant literary and artistic systems, which reveal the poet's culture
and highlight a superior ability to inspire new Abbasid paintings.
