Dear Researcher, please read the guidelines below before submitting or sending the research to the journal.
Author Guidelines
Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.
Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.
An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The College of Arts, Tikrit University publishes Al-Farahidie‘s Arts JOURNAl (JAA) for the dissemination of original research in ARTS. The journal’s aims are to disseminate the latest development and achievements in scientific research to the world’s community. To ensure quality, the submission of manuscripts to JAA shall be subjected to peer review by an international board of distinguished reviewers. The journal published 4-issues/a year and in arabic to strengthen the international exchange of academic research. The journal provides a forum for high-quality research communications and addresses all aspects of experimental observations based on theory and applications. The journal welcomes contributions from all who wish to report on new developments and the latest findings in arts.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
The author(s) guarantee(s) that the manuscript has not been submitted for publication to any other journal and it will not be published elsewhere in any language without the consent of the copyright owner, arts College, Tikrit University, that the rights of third parties will not be violated, neither Arts College, Tikrit University nor the publisher will be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation. Authors wishing to include figures or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors. Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscripts through online submission at https://fja.tu.edu.iq/index.php/fja. The electronic manuscript shall be prepared in accordance with the “Manuscript Preparation Guide.”
Plagiarism
Authors are advised to observe high standards in the aspect of publication ethics. Any plagiarism (fabrication or falsification of data) is strictly unacceptable practice in JAA, including duplicate publication of the author’s work without proper citation.
Every manuscript submitted for publication is checked for plagiarism via Turnitin after submission and before being sent to the editor for editorial review. Any detection of overlapping and similar texts in the manuscripts submitted will be investigated promptly and may lead to the manuscript being rejected and put the author/authors in BlackLIST.
EDITORIAL PROCEDURE
Papers must present substantially new scientific results, and all English sections including the title, author details, abstract, keywords, and references must consistently use either American or British spelling without mixing the two. All manuscripts are subject to peer review and must be submitted through the journal's website to ensure efficient processing. Authors must adhere to revision deadlines or risk their work being treated as withdrawn; additionally, rejected manuscripts will not be returned. Papers failing to meet journal standards may be sent back for adjustment prior to formal consideration, and authors remain solely responsible for the accuracy of their references.
TYPES OF MANUSCRIPTS
TJES publishes original research articles, review articles, and technical notes, that adds significantly to the body of knowledge concerning science and engineering.
The Journal accepts 4 types of articles that are defined as follows:
- Research Articles: Articles aimed at presenting new results. Full manuscripts of original papers must include: the Abstract (purpose, methods, results, and main conclusion), Keywords, Introduction, Experimental Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments, and References. Figures, tables, drawings, images, and charts must be submitted in their original, high-quality format.
- Review Articles: Articles aimed at comprehensively reviewing research that has already been published. Review articles intend to provide an updated perspective on a specific topic that may be relevant to the journal’s readers. Review articles must include comparisons, reviews, critiques, and new conclusions; they cannot simply be a chronological narrative of previous research.
- Selected Conference articles:Upon an agreement with the conference committee, selected papers may be published by the Journal in a special or regular issue. In this case, the editor will appoint in collaboration with the conference committee guest editors.
- Erratum: a correction of a published text. As a general rule, publishers issue an erratum for a production error (i.e., an error introduced during the publishing process) and a corrigendum for an author’s error. It is usually bound into the back of a book, but for a single error, a slip of paper detailing a corrigendum may be bound in before or after the page on which the error appears. An erratum may also be issued shortly after its original text is published.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
Manuscripts must be submitted using the online Electronic Submission and Tracking System (OJS). The manuscript must be prepared using Microsoft Word. While a PDF file derived from Word may be used during the initial submission alongside the Word file, the source files (MS Word file) are required for revised manuscripts, and PDF files are no longer acceptable at that stage.
A Cover Letter must be included with the research, clarifying how the article contributes to scientific knowledge. Additionally, a letter containing a "point-by-point" response to the reviewers' comments is mandatory and must be submitted as a separate file along with the revised manuscripts.
SPECIFIC GUIDELINES
- Title Page
Research Title: The title must be centered at the top of the page. It should be clear, accurate, and specific, not exceeding eight words. The title must be provided in both Arabic and English.
Researcher Name: Names must be written exactly as they appear on the researcher’s Google Scholar profile, ResearchGate profile, or the original thesis/dissertation (if the research is extracted). Names must be provided in both Arabic and English. If there are multiple authors, they should be listed as follows:
Mohammed Ahmed Ali (1), Rusul Aziz Mohammed (2)...
Affiliation: The institutional affiliation for each researcher must be listed numerically beneath the names, centered on the page, in both Arabic and English, as shown below:
- Department of Media, College of Arts, Tikrit University
Contact Information: The official university email for each researcher should be aligned to the left in sequence, followed by their mobile phone number directly below it.
Author Information: The official email address for each researcher must be written on the left side, following their order of appearance, with their mobile phone number placed directly underneath.
Acknowledgments: Acknowledgments should be placed at the bottom of the title page. Researchers should express their gratitude to any entity that provided informational, financial, or promotional support for the research, as shown in the example below (provided in both Arabic and English):
The researchers express their thanks and gratitude to the Tikrit University Library for providing the research with everything new and accredited in the specific field of knowledge related to the study.
Author Contribution: The contribution of each researcher must be written in both Arabic and English.
Conflict of Interest: The conflict-of-interest statement must be written in both Arabic and English.
References: References must be written in English in addition to Arabic.
Research Structure
The total length of the research must not exceed 25 pages, including the title page, abstract, body text, conclusion, and references. The paper must follow this structure:
Abstract
Word Count: The abstract must be between 200 and 300 words.
Content: The abstract must include the study hypothesis, research questions, theoretical framework, methodology, tools, techniques, structure, and key findings. This must be provided in both Arabic and English.
Keywords: The author must provide five to seven keywords that clearly describe the subject of the paper for indexing purposes. Keywords must be arranged alphabetically and provided in both Arabic and English.
Introduction
Divided into the following subheadings:
- Overview of the research topic.
- Study Hypothesis: Addressed within a theoretical framework reviewing terms and concepts directly related to the research.
- Research Questions.
- Significance and Objectives of the study.
- Literature Review (Previous Studies).
- Discussion and Analysis: Divided into clear, accurate, and specific subheadings.
- Conclusion
- References

- Specialization: The research must fall within the journal's aforementioned specialties and must contain a sound scholarly idea.
- Peer Review: All research undergoes evaluation according to international standards via a double-blind review process for all academic ranks.
- Formatting: Research must be submitted through the journal's electronic platform. Use font size 14 for the body text and 12 for footnotes. Use Simplified Arabic for Arabic text and Times New Roman for English, with 1.15 line spacing.
- References: Research must be accompanied by a final list of references in both English and Arabic.
- Citation Style: Authors must follow the APA system for citations and references.
- Linguistic Accuracy: The research must be free of linguistic and grammatical errors; the journal bears no responsibility for this.
- Scientific Integrity: The researcher bears full legal responsibility for all issues related to scientific honesty and intellectual safety.
- Originality: The researcher(s) bear legal responsibility if the research has been published or submitted for publication in another journal or conference, either before or after submission to this journal.
- Thesis Extraction: If the research is extracted from a thesis or dissertation, the researcher must state this in the Cover Letter.
- Plagiarism Check: Research is not sent to experts until it is checked by the journal using plagiarism software; the similarity index must not exceed the prescribed limit of 20%.
- Publication Fees: The researcher is committed to paying publication fees of 100,000 Iraqi Dinars, payable to the College of Arts accounts.
- Disclaimer: The ideas and results published in the research express the author's opinion and do not reflect the views of the journal.
- Revisions: The researcher must adhere to the corrections indicated by experts as noted on the electronic copies uploaded to the platform.
- Follow-up: The journal is not responsible for publishing research if 90 days pass without the researcher following up or complying with instructions and modifications, even after acceptance.
- Withdrawal: If a researcher requests to withdraw their research before or after acceptance (but prior to publication), publication fees are non-refundable.
- Page Limit: The total number of pages must not exceed 25.
- International Submissions: The journal undertakes to publish research received from outside Iraq free of charge.
- International Submissions: The journal covers the costs of electronic plagiarism checks and publication for research submitted from outside Iraq.
Abbreviations
Abbreviations should be defined first mentioned in the abstract and again in the main body of the text and used consistently after that. A list of symbols should follow the abstract if such a list is needed. Symbols must be written clearly. The international system of units (SI units) should be used. Essential footnotes to the text should be numbered consecutively and placed at the bottom of the page to which they refer.
Conclusion
A conclusion section must be included and should conclude with the findings of the work. There shall be no discussion about results or analysis in this section.
Acknowledgments
An acknowledgment section may be presented before the conclusion if desired. This section shall be kept brief, acknowledging the support rendered by individuals, departments, and organizations.
References
The journal uses the APA style of documentation, which is a style developed by the American Psychological Association within its guide to global publication. The documentation mechanism can be viewed through the educational video or the scientific chart published on the college and journal website.
References should be numbered in the order in which they appeared in the text and listed in numerical order. References with correct punctuation should be styled as follows:
Citation
Reference citations in the text should be identified by numbers in square brackets. Some examples:
- Negotiation research spans many disciplines [3].
- This result was later contradicted by Becker and Seligman [5].
- This effect has been widely studied [1-3, 7].

Important Notes
- In the case of direct quotation and in-text citation, the researcher may encounter several situations, including the following:
- Existence of an error in the source requiring notification: Place the word [sic] or [error] in square brackets immediately after the error.
- Omission of part of the directly quoted text: Place an ellipsis (...) in the location of the omitted text.
- Adding words or explanations: Place the added material within square brackets [ ].
- Emphasizing a word or words in a direct quotation: The words should be written in italics, followed immediately by the phrase [emphasis added] within square brackets.
- Limitation on direct quotation: A direct quotation from a single reference may not exceed 800 words without obtaining permission from the publisher.
- Citing verses from the Holy Qur’an: Verses must be written in the Uthmani script, and the citation in the body of the research should include the name of the Surah and the verse number.
- Visual materials: Visuals such as images and similar items require the attribution of copyright.
- Citing websites: The citation for websites should be placed within the text only.

- Lack of methodological underpinningand rigour/Single administration self-report survey instrument: Inadequate description of various aspects and/or not meeting the standard suggested by the literature from the subject area.
- A list of hypotheses without suitable justification and a collection of constructs without coherence and logic do not constitute theory and this is easy to spot. Similarly, just describing results in qualitative submissions and presenting a descriptive account of existing studies in a review article does not constitute theory development or building that is a prerequisite for publication in any high-quality journal.
- Lack of familiarity with existing work published in the target journal/ Not connected with existing research conversations in the journal.
- Grammar and poor writing and formatting.
- Lack of relevance to journals’ readership and the journal’s Aims and Scope.
- Duplicate submission/Previously.
- Duplicate submission/Previously Rejected submission: Resubmitting a rejected paper to a new or same journal without any improvements.

Brief Research Submission guidelines
To ensure your research is accepted for review, please adhere to the following requirements:
- Bilingual Sections: The Research Title, Abstract, Keywords, Author Contribution, Conflict of Interest, Acknowledgments, and References must be provided in both Arabic and English.
- Author Details: The researcher's name, academic title, and affiliation must be provided in both Arabic and English.
- Contact Information: The official email address for the researcher/researchers must be included.
- Summary: A summary (abstract) must be provided in both Arabic and English.
- Keywords: Exactly six (6) keywords must be provided in both Arabic and English.
- Citation System: Use the APA system for managing footnotes and citations.
- Reference Translation: The final list of references must be translated into English.
- Online Submission: Research must be submitted through the electronic platform via the following link: https://fja.tu.edu.iq/index.php/fja
- File Format: Research must be sent as a Word file containing all information, including details about the researchers.
- Plagiarism Report: A plagiarism (Similarity) report in PDF format must be submitted, stamped and signed by any public university, provided the percentage does not exceed 20%.
- Payment Receipt: A copy of the payment receipt (100,000 IQD) from the Accounts Department of the College of Arts, Tikrit University, must be sent.
- System Rejection: The system will automatically refuse to accept research if any of the aforementioned items are missing.
