Salahuddin Journalists Rely on Citizen Journalism As A Source of Journalistic Information

The study aimed to determine the extent to which journalists rely on citizen journalism as a source of journalistic information, and to identify the motivations behind Iraqi journalists' reliance on citizen journalism as a source of information. To achieve this, the researcher adopted a survey approach using a questionnaire using a comprehensive survey method. The research community consisted of (250) active members of the Journalists Syndicate in the media field .
The study reached the following results :
1. It was found that the degree of journalists' reliance on citizen journalism was (high), with the percentage of their reliance on citizen journalism reaching (6.41%).
2. One of the most important reasons for journalists' reliance on citizen journalism is (transmitting information at a very high speed without obstacles).
