The theme of the discourse of place in Namik Abd al-Dhib's poetry focuses on the duality of real and imaginary place, and the possibility of exchanging roles between them. The study also attempts to present an image of the forms of place and its representations in the poet's poetry, as place appears in several forms and perceptions, such as the hostile place and the safe place, the real place and the dream place, and so on. This study also attempts to present the theme of folkloric remembrance and its impact on shaping the discourse of place, in which it addresses the tendency towards mythological remembrance and folkloric remembrance. It can be said that this study attempts to benefit from the multiple concepts of modern discourse produced by contemporary critical theories that viewed discourse as a concept of a human term that affects the text and is affected by it equally.
